Ive had this product for several months now. It certainly does make hot coffee, very quickly. It is sturdy and well made. As for drawbacks, I wish the burner plate had an auto-shutoff timer on it. Ive left the decanter on the warmer all day by accident and come home to find burned up coffee in the bottom of the decanter. Also, Im still having a hard time getting the coffee strength right. I tend to only make 4 cups at a time, which is the minimum amount recommended by the manufacturer. It seems to come out weak when you make small amounts. Also, it sometimes gets loud when the water heater section turns on. But, altogether, its an attractive, well-made unit that is easy to use, fast, and makes good coffee (especially when you make a full pot). My parents and in-laws also have this unit, and we all agree its one of the best coffee makers weve ever owned.

Excellent coffee maker. Consistently makes fine tasting coffee. Although the directions state you can add up to 10 cups of water, I found anything over 8 would cause grinds to get into coffee. Also needed to add a little more coffee for the strength I wnated from previous drip makers. Highly recommended.

I fell in love with this Bunn coffee maker from day one. My old drip maker was hooked to a timer, so it would make coffee in the morning before I got up. I dont miss it a bit. The Bunn is amazingly fast and easy -- just put coffee in the filter, pour in the water, close the lid, and about three minutes later, coffee! Just enough time to feed the cat and check the weather. I dont have the filter problems others mention. I use standard flat filters and they work fine. Im not bothered by the "extra electricity" to keep the water hot, to me its worth it. The coffee carafe is flat, slides easily on and off of the base. The carafes opening is big, so its easy to fill, easy to reach inside and clean. (My old carafe would actually cut my hand.) The coffee flavor is, for me and my wife, perfect, and I drink coffee all the time, at home and in restaurants. It stays warm enough for me -- or, if it sits too long and loses a little heat, we use an amazing gadget called a microwave oven to heat it up. Finally, with my old drip maker you had to be careful not to pour cold water into it while it was still hot -- but with the Bunn, youre adding water to a tank, so its not a problem. Bottom line, I love this Bunn maker -- for me, its absolutely perfect.

I have been using Bunn for over 20 years and have nothing bad to say about it. If you want fresh brewed coffee in record time (3 min) get a Bunn.

The price paid on Amazon was cheaper than any store in the area.
